I have over a decade of acting experience, having appeared in over two dozen plays and short films in the Reno area. I've been a film and theatre actor since early childhood, my finest achievement being, of course, playing the Ugly Pumpkin in Scarselli Elementary's "The Ugly Pumpkin" (spoiler alert: I was a squash all along!). I've memorized hours of text in a few days, filmed student films in freezing forests and storm drains, and injured myself onstage for the sake of the show countless times. Every opportunity I've had to be on a film set or a stage, I've taken, and it's paid off--I've earned rave reviews and a reputation as a dependable and unique actor that can handle any challenge thrown at them.
I graduated from UNR in 2024 with a major in Acting and a minor in Film Studies. Though I came into the program with years of experience, I honed my craft with the help of excellent professors. I learned how to act in various accents and classical styles, how to use my voice and body as a tool to instantly transform, and most importantly, how to captivate an audience even with limited resources (the loss of a technical director meant that actors often performed without mics, lights, and costumes, a challenge that forced us to rely entirely on the power of performance). I was cast in every role I auditioned for, worked with world-renowned casting agents and Broadway alums, and even learned how to nearly carry a tune.
I'm an actor that's hard to categorize, which makes me easy to cast. I've played heroes and villains, men and women, alluring love interests and wacky side characters. To me, acting is about empathy, and I love getting the chance to find commonalities with characters whose choices and experiences totally differ from mine. I bring a wide range of skills to any performance: I'm an accomplished artist (that's my painting in the background of Girls Like That pictured below!) and writer (I've written and performed my own solo show), as well as a poet, photographer, and makeup artist. I've directed and cast shows, and I've watched so many movies and read so many books that I must have retained at least some knowledge over the years. Above all, I am very humble and definitely do not feel weird when listing my talents.
